PPP Question.
Is the PPP a replacement for the RGPC 400 or an addition?

PPP is a replacement for an RCPG1200 - so long as your amp needs less than 1500W (or total system <1500W).
You could probably run both, but from what I've read - since I haven't futzed around with the PPP - you would plug the RCPG into wall, the PPP to RCPG, but you may not really see much improvement. I'm waiting for Dan's full review since he is near that 1500W mark between the XLS112, 501's and the other small current draw items on his rig.

That is exactly what I was thinking, amigo. With the dual 6KW chokes, it can definately handle dips. I've actually had little brownouts here many months ago, and everything plugged into the 1200 actually stayed on while everything else reset... It was quite a feat to see.

They really are two diferrent animals. I still use RGPC 1200's on all my amps & the PPP on everything else.
My highest reco for both products.

The PPP has piqued my interest. Would I plug in both power amps (402 & 205) and preamp, etc? Or everything but the amps into the PPP?

Waboman.......Are you powering your system with one circuit or two? The Power Plant Premier is capable of delivering 1500 watts continuous sine wave power at 120 volts, but I don't think I would want to operate mine at that level continuously. What you have available is 12.5 amps of current from the PPP. Total up your various loads, either by amps, or watts, and see if they exceed 1500 watts, or 12.5 amps. If not, then the PPP will get the job done. My PPP is powering the C1000C/P, MS750. MCD500, MR85, and the Sonos ZP90, all from a dedicated 20 amp circuit, and is less than a 5 amp load total. The two MC501's are powered by a seperate dedicted 20 amp circuit, and are plugged directly into the wall, although I could plug them into the PPP as long as I didn't drive them over 200 watts output. I prefer to keep the MC501's on their own circuit. I get crazy with the volume control sometimes.
Dan

Hi Dan, I have 3 dedicated 20 amp circuits. As of now, I'm using 2 for the power amps, and then a I have cheap Monster strip (don't recall the model) I plug the rest of the gear into. I remember many years back, when I had my Krell amp, I contacted Krell about plugging it into a surge protector. They suggested I plug it directly into the wall.

Waboman.......The PS Audio Power Plant Premier will do wonders for all of your sources, and from what has been said here, will also clean up video for an improvement in your widescreen picture. I'd begin with one PPP, and keep the amps plugged into the wall for now.
Do you have a surge protection installed in your house panel? If not, you should. Small price for big insurance.
