Well, there is no headphone socket to drown out the noise, nor anyway of recording what you are hearing....

See, you are starting to complicate life; the exact opposite of the Bose Wave Radio system.

It was 5-1 in the morning when I posted, so I'm on the right track.

Meanwhile, back on post re audio quality, check out ' What i think of the Bose Wave music system' by andersonjjj333. He's about number 5 down on the side scroll on youtube, plus he has a 1991 tape deck so your getting a real perspective.

Either path is a smart move if one's going to buy a Wave, I'd say. Maybe buy an extra remote up front. My sister has a Wave, which I discovered while down in Missouri City (just outside Houston) for Christmas. It was the first time I saw or heard one in person. As a semi-audiophile, I'll say it sounded okay but I wouldn't want one as my main/only music source. And I was turned off by the lack of buttons on the unit. I heard about the remote issue later.

And I'm enough of a simplicity nut and sufficiently tech-averse that I'd resist having to program a remote for something like a Wave radio.

-----Yeah, having a spare remote is a smart move indeed (probably less than $20). Ladies would prefer that option I'm sure.

And to learn the Bose remote and transfer it to a Universal one should take no more than two minutes as there are only few buttons anyway (just 26). The hubby or boyfriend can do it for his better half (that's a nice short project to please the one you love).

Finally, The Bose Wave Radio system is not promoted as to be an audiophile component; unless I missed somethin' here.
What it is? ...A nice, simple, practical, good sounding unit for the nice, simple, practical, good looking ladies.
