Slim pickings but once in a while not only are they impressive sounding but very musical.

But the most "cliche" audiophile records over the years have been:

Stereophile Test CD 1,2,3 pick your favorite...
Stereophile "Records to Die For". There is a bunch for every year.
Dire Straits Brothers in Arms
The Eagles Hotel California
Jazz at the Pawnshop
Holy Cole Trio
Rebecca Pidgeon
Steely Dan Aja

Should I go on?

Pick your favorite
Serge, I'll go with Jazz At The Pawnshop

As well as the usual TBM suspects and the earlier Patricia Barber recordings...

Great list. I really love the Analogue Productions 45rpm Belafonte Live at Carnegie, MoFi Sinatra at the Sands. Diana Krall Live in Paris. Hugh Masakela Hope on AP. Have Quite a number on that list. Not sure of the Kevin Gray cuts since I don’t know if mine have those.

But I’ll also add Donald Fagen One Step MoFi Nightfly in the list.

I’m also waiting for Stevie Ray Vaughan’s One Step MoFi Couldn’t Stop The Weather.
