Thanks gentlemen. From 1993 to 2006 I enjoyed that system very much. It sounded great. Then I retired and went crazy. I had already built the two room recording studio by December 2005 which triggered a big equipment purchasing spree that spilled over into my stereo systems and seemed to continue for years.

Being an audio forum member certainly provided a catalyst for upgrades and expansion. The first change in the living room system was the purchase of my PMC EB1i speakers. After that the changes came relatively steady. A lot of gear has transitioned through the living room system and the studio system, plus the addition of the home theater system. It has caused some serious cash to flow down stream but it has been a blast. My systems are exactly the way I want them and I have now settled down to simply enjoying what I have built. This is a great hobby that provides tremendous rewards on so many levels.

Lots of changes over the past 24 months or so. I have photos of previous 2-3 systems as well, but will have to dig deeply to find the older ones.
Started out many years ago as a teenager with a Adcom GFP-565 preamp, a 100 Watt NAD amplifier and a pair of Infinity SM 62s.
My girlfriends father was very passionate about audio and equipment and firmly set the hook in me by the time I was 16. Have gone through many systems since then, ranging from B&W 805S to Magneplaner 1.7s, Bryston 4BSST2 and many CD players, etc. Many different cables from MIT, Audioquest, Transparent, Kimber and Nordost.
I love this hobby!

Another old system in another house . . . .

Pictured are a pair of Goldmund Dialogue speakers, bought in about 1990, at our mountain house.

and a pair of Focal Micro Utopia Be speakers at the same location.

Hey, it's not old without shag carpeting and macrame hanging in the room.

This is around 1980. Dahlquist DQ-10's, GAS Ampzilla, Nakamichi 610 pre, SAE MK VIII tuner, Sony hi-end cassette and turntable, a Audiopulse digital Time Delay, and in the lower cabinet a AKAI tape deck.
