Very nice room.
The chair is gorgeous. My wife's dream.

Does this last pic mean that you recently changed your speakers?
Yes, picked up the B&Ws yesterday. Going to see if they can displace the KEFs which I've had for nearly three years.

Thanks! The chair is a replica of the Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman. A real one is still out of the budget but this reproduction is very nice. They seem suited for listening rooms as they're comfortable, have a low back rest (and no head rest) and are (IMO) great looking.

Previously I had an Ekornes Stressless Orion that, while even more comfortable, had too high of a headrest that caused some smearing while listening.

The n805 complement that chair and your room really well. The n805 I would say pulled me into this hobby as I still remember auditioning them at my local dealer. They were phenomenal and still are!

Enjoy the speakers in good health!

Thanks SMC23! Your 802 would be my end-game speaker! Always liked them better than the 801 when it was still around.

Very nice system.

From now on, after the new series, you should be able to get 802's diamond at very low prices.

I have let go my set for nothing just days ago, to make room for the new series, and have no regrets.

Hi Bill,

Are the B&W's an upgrade for the LS50's, I can imagine that listening close distance the LS50 might be more involving than the B&W's. Love the chair

Love your username and avatar, long time Subie owner myself!

Still sorting out the 805s. I had the KEFs dialed in to the point where I was getting detail almost like headphones with the imaging and sound staging of well placed speakers.

I started with the B&Ws plopped in the same spot but currently they're about 4" further back and apart. And where the KEFs were toed in to fire on axis I'm finding the B&Ws sound better with slightly less toe in.
I may experiment with cranking up the rear spikes so that they fire down slightly as my ears are only around the center of the woofer rather than in-between the woofer and tweeter center.

I am getting more detail out of the B&Ws though, along with much deeper extension in the bass.

Bill

I wish I could see the photos of the setup but unfortunately I guess I'll have to wait until I get home because I'm not seeing anything on my iPad. Sent from my iPad using A.Aficionado
