Default Made the Move on the K-01 Today

Well, after about six months of careful saving, and after trying and failing to get the local distributor to offer a chance to audition and compare the K-01 and K-03 so that I could see whether the price differential was worth it, I decided to go ahead and make my move on the K-01 through one of a great many local dealers. I should get the K-01 delivered sometime shortly after the 25th. We got a very good deal on this machine, which pleases me a great deal. I'm well on my way to getting my listening room into its final position for the duration, and I'll soon be building a smaller and cheaper system for our living room space downstairs.

I'll be posting photos here upon taking delivery to give you a sense of the experience. I plan on this being my final digital player if all goes well. I've enjoyed this research project, and I'm glad it's soon to arrive at its culmination. I'm also very glad that I was able to purchase locally and help out the local economy in the process.
