Wow, that is good weight so they will work for nearly anything. I would've thought the 2301's were to heavy for them. Very cool. can't wait to hear your thoughts. Also, I would add one at a time as when I was tweaking with this type of stuff it didn't work on every piece of equipment.

Do you put under the existing feet or put directly on the Chassis.

In my application(s), you remove the existing feet/screw and use the adapter screw obtained from MD. Screw one end of the adapter to the Mini Inverse Riser & the other end of the adapter into the screw hole that is now vacated by the removal of the stock feet.

Refer to post #1, picture 3 and 4.

Also, I'm going to go a little over the top here but I have learned supposedly that equipment will develop a mechanical foot print to what it is now sitting on. That said when you add these it maybe best to do one component at a time and let it sit for 24 hours to 48 hours prior to deciding if it works. Then if the change was good do the next component.

It will be at least a week before I move on to the next component since I have no material -- the longest delay is obtaining the adapter screw from MD.

Next component will be the MCD500 followed by the C500C/C500T.

As expected -- waiting on the the adapters which are backordered at MD (apparently they don't stock these as had to wait 4 weeks on the previous order of 8).

Default MC275 meet Stillpoints

I finally got my amp up on Stillpoints (after having them under my Wadia transport for years.) The stock McIntosh feet attach with 8 - 32 bolts. So mini-risers tapped with 8 - 32 holes attach directly to the bottom of the amp -- see the detail picture. I also added the larger "Standard" riser on the bottom just to see how the extra height would look, but it's not really necessary, and if the rack or shelf surface is good and flat, height adjustment shouldn't be necessary since the Stillpoint mechanism has a certain amount of play in it anyway. Further, if you read the website carefully, you realize each single Stillpoint has a capacity of 300 lbs unless you use the adjustable riser with it in which case it drops to 100 lbs each

As for performance? Well, McIntosh power transformers just don't vibrate! But tube amps can pick up external vibes sometimes -- what with all those garden-hose sized IC's/PC's/SPK cables of every kind attached to them. If you've got your system really dead quiet, Stillpoints will let you hear more low level detail. I just sent a couple sets to a friend whose review was, "These are the audiophile equivalent of crack cocaine. :-)" I can't verify that
