Default Darbee Visual Presence - Darblet

DARBEE Visual Presence™ (DVP™) Products

Has anyone tried this tweak? Their website gallery claim is impressive.

DARBEE™ DVP™ Product Technology Background

DARBEE™ DVP™ technology embeds monoscopic depth cues and details in an image by modulating the local pixel luminance according to our underlying patented method. DARBEE™ DVP™ can accept any color input or bit depth and will output the same. We never change the color vector, however if needed we adjust the saturation as we track the chroma. Using an advanced and patented form of image stacking technology, we do not perform temporal base processing so our memory needs are minimal. Our processing is strictly intra-frame and is therefore very fast. DARBEE™ DVP™ technology also includes our own advanced, very fast saliency map. Our saliency map allows for 100% automatic processing of only those parts of the image that are worthy of attention, without processing the grainy or noisy areas of the image. Truly all of the good and none of the bad.

DVP™ processing in a Darblet™

DARBEE™ Visual Presence™ - Darblet

A DarbeeVision Darblet that takes HDMI video experience to new heights.

Performance = 1080pHD/60 in real time.
An HDMI accessory that will add intense depth and clarity to any video -- enabling ultra-immersive visuals. As a video processor module in a small housing, DarbeeVision technology simply plugs into any HDMI media device and will enhance the output of any video stream, like DVD, Blu-ray, smart phone, and media players and any digital broadcast -- on both standard and high-definition TVs.

Yep,I have two.
One connected to a 42" led tv and the other to the X-9 projector.
I used Disney WOW disc to dial them in.
Well worth the few hundred dollars as what it does for the finer details in things.
All those macro details just snap into place.
Feeding the projector with the Oppo 95 also.
Totally satisfied especially on the big screen 118"X50".

I have one on a 7 year old Sony projector. it's well worth the cost. I run my at 70%. On an older projector using a 2:35 screen at 138". It really helps the black level and brings out more detail.

From the picture on their website, it almost looks like it increases the sharpness?

It does increase the sharpness and if used wisely there are no noticeable side effects.

I've been on the fence about using one of these on my 65in Mits DLP RPTV. Just not sure it will make a difference at that size. Thoughts?

Not a fan of post processing downstream from a quality scaler.

I tried it on the 40" samsung LCD in my bedroom and a JVC RS45 with a panamorph lens its improved every display I have used it on.
