After many years of transistors I switched to all tubes and I found delicious and addictive sound. After many years of tubes, I switched to Single-Ended tubes and found even more magic.

I am so completely satisfied with my Monbrison + Cortese that I can't even imagine changing my system.

Hope this helps.

Alberto
Hello Alberto, at what volume you have set the final Cortese?

It varies, but my comment about 9 o'clock refers to the volume on the Cortese being wide open.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about the volume of the Monbrison.. so it works perfectly, without any distortion. The position of the volume is that which Mr. Shindo recommends :-)

I was actually talking about both volumes. I usually keep the Cortese wide-open (10) and the Monbrison at about 9 o'clock.

Of course, I experiment and move the knobs around sometimes since it's good for them to be "exercised."

The only reason I mentioned the volume thing is that I never find myself wishing I had more watts to go.

Sometimes it's difficult for me to follow what you are writing but I'm sure you understand. Reading again what you wrote I now get what you were saying ;-)

I saw those vids the other day, is that a dealer or a private owner?
