Robert, Zinio provides a browser based application as well. Your login provides you access to all your subscriptions via the web. I find the iPad app pretty darn slick as well. It looks exactly like the print version, but there are all sorts of interactive features that really enhance the readers experience.

You can use Zinio from the browser, or you can download the zinio files to your computer or laptop as well. Back before the days of the iPad, that's how I always read my Zinio magazines. That way you don't have to be tethered to an ethernet connection.

This is how I am doing it presently, downloading each issue to my MacBook Pro. I am holding out for the Gen 2 iPad HD.

The Mac version of the Zinio app is a little clunky IMHO. I would prefer just downloading PDFs. It's workable, but not as nice as viewing on an iPad.
