Default Dcs puccini vs scarlatti

Dear specialist dcs, your are many on AA, Ineed your advice. I have for the moment a puccini with a clock scarlatti. Sound is amazing espacially since I add the scarlatti clock.
Do you think it would be intersting to moove to a scarlatti transport and dac. There are a lot oon the net in 2nd hand.
If anybody did a comparison puccini-scarlatti side by side, what was your impression.

Many thanks for your help...

Hello jpspock,

just a question:

you use the puccini direct to the ampli too? (or only with the ARC REF5?)

I have a very similar setup: xp20-xa100.8 sasha2.
I will go with a puccini (with clock?)

Personaly I dont think that a Scarlatti Dac with the Puccini give you much more satisfaction....
fully stack scarlatti transport & Dac is sure a good ombo but is "old" and today Dac are in 6 months obsolet!!!

ihmo !!!

Dear raidho,

I use my puccini through ref5se of course. When. I upgrade for 5se, i was a few days without preamp, and i listen directly to pass. It was a bad experience.
Why do you say dac is obsolète?

I went from the Puccini to the Scarlatti DAC. Even when playing computer files via the very same USB/SPDIF converter (to level out the playing field) the superiority of the Scarlatti DAC was very clear.

I'll have to echo Elberoth. I made the same move Puccini/uclock to Scarlatti. It's a HUGE upgrade.
