Hille Perl - Concerti - Telemann Pfeiffer Graun
Freiburger Barockorchester Exactly one week ago, we were enjoying this orchestra live. They do a good job here but the real star is Hille Perl. What a fantastic viola da gamba player she is... This album is marvelous!

Nathalie Dessay - Vocalises
Dessay has an amazing voice. There are some pretty good pieces on this album. The rest is interesting, but I won't listen to this CD too often.

Quote:
I think this label delivers really good albums. I'm getting more and more interested in the Silbermann Bach organ collection that John -'Toccata' - purchased. Do you have news on it John?

Beethoven: Missa Solemnis
Has anyone heard the quality of this recording? The performance is highly regarded, but I wonder about the Barbican Hall venue

Inspired by my recent trip to Russia. I love the way Gergiev captures the emotion and power in his performances.
