My personal set up used D'Agostino M400 mono's with my M3's. I loved the organic sound they produced. Moving to an MSB M500 set up here in the next few months. I expect improvement if that is possible.

Cincy2 that looks like one impressive system. I'm considering a set of Pass 260.8 amps with a Pass XP12 pre-amp and Magico A3s now. Magico seems to integrate well with Pass too.

I personally find that Boulder/Magico/Nordost is a match made in heaven. I've heard many combos of electronics, and have found that this pairing is highly synergistic and sounds the best to my ears. If you like resolution, transparency, command, and deep, tight bass and own a Magico speaker, give Boulder a try.

I use either the Boulder 3060 or McIntosh MC2152 to drive my M3’s. Do not underestimate tubes with Magico speakers!

I posted on this thread some six years ago. I have since updated my system with newer amps, preamp, Esoteric front end and MIT cabling, but the sound signature, while improved, is still the same; detailed, dynamic and still highly musical. I will update to probably a pair of M2's or M3's in the next year or so, but even after 6 years with similar electronics, digital and the same speakers, I continue to be very satisfied with the synergy and overall musicality of my system. Spectral (Esoteric) and Magico, for me, is a winning combination. Ted.

I did’t expect it to go well, but it did. I’m pairing my Magico S1 with class A Accuphase (E-550). Love the combination. Absolutely enough juice for these speakers!

I have S3 Mk2s driven by a Gryphon Diablo 300. Dynamics and tone are wonderful and a good match for my taste in classical music. Excellent bass performance for these speakers.

Hey GSOphile -- I'm in this demographic. Did you consider PASS INT-250 or T+A 3100 as integrated alternatives, or B&W 802s as speaker alternatives?

I'm thinking that a pairing of these will be my next system.

Was interested in the Pass, but decided on the Gryphon upon their return to the US (timing was good). Heard the 802-D3 and 803-D3. I thought the B&Ws were good, but I felt like something was lacking. I liked the Magico S3 with some reservations, but the MkII addressed these, so I bought 'em, and happy I did. The T+A wasn't out yet so not considered. I think their sound is quite a bit different from Pass and Gryphon. Although I wasn't able to hear the Diablo before I bought, I did a LOT of research (quite a few reviews and users outside the US). IMO this amp has a lot of synergy with the Magico S series. It's a unique product. Some don't like its looks, but I think the design is interesting. I don't have the optional DAC or phono stage (I hear the DAC is excellent). Operation has been flawless.
