Simple no?

Also to post on a members for sale item with an unproven statement is in my book poor form

To be clear this thread is not the FS thread for the speakers.

Well Ok We'll agree to split the hairs--but it pertains in the last posts to Items for sale on this Site-no?

It would be very interesting to hear an informed report, indeed-

The ones shown in Matt's site from 12/12 are definitely different than the earlier models - I was looking at Steven's from 3/10. I'd also be curious to hear about the differences.

Similar cabinet volume. There is a slightly different sonic presentation vis-à-vis narrow and wide baffles. It ultimately depends on room size.. wide baffle can be used in smaller room, because the speaker is less deep.

Thanks Matt!

Ah! HERE is the older one I was thinking about with the front port.

I would be very interested to hear why Matt thinks these ones we modified. With all the changes over the years it is so hard for a casual hifi nut to keep track of all the details.

That's the wider shallower version...

Right. With the front port. Suitable for different size rooms. We're talking about the same thing.

I'm sorry to be rude, or seemingly pushy, however we have gotten off track again, w/ the ports, as informative as those points that everyone made are.....

As a Shindo aficionado, owner, and certainly an amateur in Shindo history,
I would VERY much like to understand what is "wrong" with the drivers, and also how they've been "modified"-

I believe we are all, always trying to learn more about our hobby-
