Default Magico Q3 or S5 with Good Subwoofer

Looking for advice… I'll be listening to Magico Q3 and S5 this coming weekend. I currently own Wilson Audio Sasha 1's. I'll also be listening to Vivid Audio Giya G2 and Rockport Avior. From reading many reviews it sounds like people complain about the impact Magico speakers have in the lower register? I have a Wilson Audio Watchdog subwoofer which I consider to be an excellent subwoofer for music and theater. I'm assuming the Q3 will stand out in this group and would pair nicely with my sub thus providing any missing deep impact bass that would be required in the listening experience. Also anxious to hear the Giya G2. Appreciate any thoughts and advice. Thanks!

Magico speakers are pretty fast, but you can try if you already have the subwoofer.
My opinion is you don't need a sub with the Q3 / S5.

I don't think I need a subwoofer for my S5. It may not be easy to integrate a sub as Olaf mentioned. I moved from the Sasha which in my room has a stronger upper bass but I find the bass of the S5 is better defined and more coherent to the mid-range.

My S5s sound great without subs. But they sound even better with them.

I hear that the Torus sub and Magico mate well together...

+2.

Would also strongly be against one subwoofer, all those experiences are right: boomy bass, bad integration, localisation et cetera. Don't do it!

So far the advise for the one eared audiophile, and if mono is king..

V2 is great speaker, adding stereosubs transforms into world class system. G1's is very nice, but G2's have much smaller footprint and deliver 95% of G1's.
So personally would buy G2's now, if starting over.

You think you don't need subs, until you actually experience.. unfortunately the stereo sub demo's are not there, because marketing told us to buy monosubs for two decades. It's like Bose marketing, but on an elevated level.

Would you disconnect one of the woofers on your mainspeaks if someone told you it makes no difference?

I personally would not feel the need for a sub with a pair of S5. Not at all.

I have seen very few systems where subs integration works very well. Tried to integrate my 2 Fathom F113 with Q1, didn't like it as much as Q1 alone (and yes, I didn't spend much time on it, was just curious).
