Default Multi-channel amp recommendations

My Sherbourn 5/1500A is in need of replacement. Looking to spend up to $3500 (preferably second hand) on what will primarily be an HT amp. Speakers are Gallo Reference Stradas, pre pro is a D2v. 5 channel only. Looking for 150 to 200 wpc.

The four I'm considering so far (all at used prices) are a Classe CAV180, McIntosh MC205, Classe CA5200 (might be a reach budget-wise) or CJ MET150 (ditto). I'm not terribly interested in Bryston. No interest in Rotel.

Any other recommendations that I should add to the list?

David

This will have more grunt than any non-autoformer Mac multi-channel amp: MINI MC 5 CH (MMC-5) - Multi-Channel Amplifiers - DAC 2 Digital, High Definition Amplifiers, Stereo Pre Amp Audio Equip

For even more power: 5 CH (3 x 500w,2 x 250w) (MC5(3x500,2x250)) - Multi-Channel Amplifiers - DAC 2 Digital, High Definition Amplifiers, Stereo Pre Amp Audio Equip

Thanks. I'm familiar with W4S, but more with their DACs than amps. I'll look into them some more.

Try the MC 207 or the newer MC-8207. I know that many here do not care for the look of the newer unit but it looked ok in the system I saw and the sound with the new 121 and 891 was pretty good.

Is the MC207 that different from the MC205? I'm running a 5 channel setup, and given my room size, that's not likely to change for some time.

I also noticed AudioClassics has a used MC206 and a used MC7205 for sale. Anyone familiar with either of these?

Very happy with my 207sound very good, even in stereo mode with my ex-sophia2
205 is equal to 207 but with only 5 channels (and don't have the 2 knobs).
Very good amps in my opinion

I've had my MC205 for several years. No complaints here.

MC205/MC207, essentially the same minus the 2 channels on the former.

It is a brute and powers my system. Very happy with it.

Looks like the MC7205 and 206 are limited at 8ohms, so I'm keeping them off the list.

Current list:

Classe CA5200
MC205
Conrad Johnson MET150
Wired4Sound MC5x250

All of these (except the W4S) will likely exceed my budget, but frankly, I can't remember ever buying a piece of equipment that didn't.

Any others to consider?
