Who's getting a MEN220 or seriously thinking?

I have the lyngdorf RP1 since 1 month and I'm oversatisfied, like Jérôme.

I guess the MEN220 is nothing short than a RP1, except some features.

Jacques, you should give it a second chance et play a little bit more with it in your system. Did you try all the possibilities of curve and so on?

If you spend more than say $500 on a set of cables you will want to have MEN220 since it adds that subtle sense of realism and out of the box imaging that you are looking for.

I tried the RP on my large Final ESL full range speakers and the results were incredible.
Why not with ML ?

Using the MEN220 on ML speakers has totally impressed me. I think any of the panel or line array speaker designs have more room reactions than many box designs. Since the sound is radiated forward and back on panels they have twice as many issues.
The most dramatic improvement I have seen when using MEN220 has been on ML CLX speakers. You can also move the speakers much closer to the wall yet have dramatically better imaging when using MEN220 + ML. This will also bring the bass level up without increasing power.

Ron, will the MX150 do the same things that the MEN220 will? Please let us know what the differences are between the two as far as crossovers and room corrections. I have an MX136 and am debating wheather to add the MEN220, or go for the MX150. Thanks for all your info!!

I'll be upgrading my MX136 to an MX150 sometime next year, once it and the MVP881 have been shipping for a while. No need for the MEN220.

You can either way. MEN220 has a very fine adjustments, like 1Hz for crossover points and 6 crossover slope choices. High pass and low pass may have different crossover points. A lot of these features are only needed for sophisticated bi-amping of your main speakers.

MX150 is simplified to work in the normal high performance HT system. It has two crossover slope choices, 2nd order Butterworth or the preferred 4th order Linkwitz Riley. Bass cutoff Crossover frequency options are:
20, 25, 31,40,50,63,80,100,125,160,200,250,310,400,500,630 and 800Hz.
Individual speakers in your HT system may use different crossover points.

Bass Performance choices are:
XXL- No high pass filter and receives full bass except LFE which continues to go to the sub out.
XL- No high pass and receives all bass if no sub.
L- 40 Hz high pass
M- 80 Hz High Pass (THX x-over point)
S- 100 Hz High Pass
Custom- see list above.

Any speaker may be 'offset' in volume +/- 20 dB.
