IT's HERE!!!

Yes, I was unpacking the amp to make sure all is well. The amp is beautiful. Thank you Terry. I can see it was lovingly taken care of. I will do the same.

Photos to follow once it is in the rack.

It was lovingly used. I miss it already. I'm assuming then that it traveled the distance fine.

Stephen, I was tracking online and saw that it was delivered. Yours is still somewhere between IL and CA.

It didn't take long to get this beautiful amp unpacked. I went over it with a damp cloth to remove the traveling dust and my finger prints and installed the tubes. I couldn't make myself install the factory tubes, so they are still inside the foam and stored inside the tube cage. All of that inside the factory boxes took their rightful place in the garage with all the other McIntosh boxes. It's starting to look like a dealers store room in there. One more McIntosh box in there, and I'll have to park the Jag outside.

I installed the new Gold Lion power tubes, Philips 12AT7 tubes, and Tung-Sol 12AX7 tubes, connected the Wireworld Silver Electra power cord, the Tributary Silver Series balanced interconnects, and the speaker wire between the MC275 and the JBL LSR6332 speakers on the wall mounts. It is such a great feeling to have the MC275 back in my home. What a great, classic tube amplifier. This one won't be leaving.

I energized the C2300, MCD500, and the MC275, and played Brian Bromberg - Choices. It's all here, the gorgeous, rich McIntosh tube sound filled the studio room. I still have to make some adjustments to the XLS112 sub to get it dialed into this new system, but I am on cloud nine. I expect the sound to improve a little more as the brand new tubes settle in, but the MC275 is sweet, sweet, sweet. Now I can't wait for the SF Cremona Auditors to arrive. They shipped today. Man, I love this hobby.
