Hi Blackfield--
I was already getting great vicarious pleasure from your system--now I'm doubly excited! I think you should ask your dealer to borrow the Sasha DAWs for a few days or a week. He may need to charge a few hundred dollars for labor, etc, but I'm certain my dealer would do this for me. Good luck!

Quick update - Wilson Audio replied that the dealer determines the trade in values.
They mentioned that my room would be excellent for Sasha DAW. Now that Alexia V just came out, Alexia 2 price is similar to Sasha DAW, thus I asked them about Alexia 2 as well. They also mentioned that my room can accommodate Alexia 2 as well. I am not too sure about Alexia 2 though on my room as I suspect that it needs larger room to breath and Sasha DAW would be just the right size. Quote:
Thank you, bart. Glad to get other person feedback to make sure I am on the right path. Quote:
Hmm, the Sasha DAW is his demo speakers so I am not sure if he is willing to so, but I can ask. How is the TuneTot threating you? |

Blackfield, I think Alexia 2 will work just fine. I'm not a fan of demos. Brand new from the factory is the way to go. You would be getting a huge break on the Alexia 2. They are beautiful wonderful speakers. These are your "demos" straight from the factory. You will have plenty of bass!!

The TuneTots are wonderful--I recommend them for anyone whose room or spouse will not accommodate larger speakers, and they sure do not sound like "tots"...but a couple of updates...
We have moved to a new home, and my system is now in a much larger room--approx 20' x 30', with one half of the room set up for listening--speakers ~3' from the short wall, couch facing them with a great listening position. At low to moderate volume, sound is excellent even without yet optimizing speaker and sub placement. But at high volume, my sub is underpowered for the room, so need to upgrade (I should do a thread on this...)

Hello,
A quick update from the OP. I have been contemplating on the upgrade on and off since I opened this thread. At one point, I thought I had a deal on a used Alexia 2 but it turned out to be more complicated and did not work out. While waiting, I installed some room treatments, it is money well spent. The imaging, bass, etc are more focus, it makes huge difference. I am happy to share that I just traded in my SabrinaX with SashaDAW. SashaDAW is perfect for my room size, it pressurizes the room really well, it is truly an improvement in all aspects to SabrinaX, especially, the bottom end. On the speakers front, I am very content, my next area to tackle will be electronics, but one baby step at a time. Thank you again for all of you that have been helping me on my audio journey! |

SabrinaX to Sasha DAW?
Very nice Blackfield, but what's Ivan doing up on your windowsill?
