Default McIntosh DIN cable

Reaching out to ask if anyone is aware if there is an aftermarket Mc DIN to HDMI adapter on the open market. I have a need for one, a long story why.

McIntosh has told me to Output a DSD SACD signal an agreement with Sony stated a proprietary cable would be required. Hmmm, not in the case of the Oppo line up which allows the signal to pass via an HDMI Output. My Bryston BDA3 only accepts SACD via the HDMI input.

Hdmi socket is used on some transports and dacs without hdmi labeling to avoid licensing (which is really expensive). These devices use the hdmi socket but they are completely different electrically. For example PS Audio is one of them. They call it i2s connection. McIntosh uses a similar electrical output but used a din connector instead. The idea is to send data, bi-phase and clock signals separately (and balanced) hence needing 3 pairs or conductors and a neutral/ground.

Oppo uses the actual hdmi format and sends dsd over hdmi or dsd over pcm over hdmi. It is not possible to convert the din output of the mcintosh transport to actual hdmi format without an electrical interface box. You need a matching mcintosh dac to take advantage of this connection.

I use my MCT450 with my MA8900 which has the MCT connection. I am contemplating downsizing to one system and would like to keep my C2300 and MC275 MkVI amp. My choice is get a D150 for DAC duties, trade the MCT450 for a SACD player, or trade the C2300 for a C2600. Audioclassics has a C2600 but wants too much net from me. The D150 is a cheaper route than the trade scenario but adds one more piece.
