Amps for Sasha's

What relatively inexpensive(5K or below, used) amp and/or integrated amp is capable of driving Sasha's with good results?

Thats easy..... try a MA6600 this integrated amp is second to none in my book! It has a solid 200 watts and an optional tuner.

A used MC402 fits nicely in that price range and should be quite nice with the Sasha's.

I had a McIntosh 402 when I first bought my Sashas and it drove them fine. But for the money, I think you can get better resolution and bass impact. In my system, the McIntosh sounded a little veiled and lacked bass attack.

I borrowed a Musical Fidelity NuVista integrated and it was better than the McIntosh in every respect. In fact, I was surprised at the comparison.

Eventually I ended up with Lamm hybrids, but could have lived with the Musical Fidelity integrated.

I have used a $2500 Krell S300i for a brief moment. No problems at all ! My guess is that any 150W+ SS integrated will do.

I listen to what I consider to be contemporary Jazz (Boney James, David Sandborn, Jessy J, Crusaders). I listen at moderate levels. My set-up was Sophia 3s, Densen B-350 amps and B-250 preamp, Audio Research DAC-7, Rega Apollo as transport. I sold my Sophia 3s to pursue Sasha's. To my ears the Sasha's are clearly more refined and just more natural. I'm looking for alternative electronics, just in case I need to sell my current electronics. My room is 24'x26'.

You might want to consider the Plinius P10 stereo amp (200wpc). I believe its retail price is USD 5,150, but I just saw one on audiogon go for USD 2,695.

My dealer actually loaned me the Plinius P10 for about 6 months while I was waiting for my new amps to arrive, and I actually felt that they drove my Sasha W/P's surprisingly well.
