What's in store for you in 2018?

What upgrades or changes are you considering for 2018?

For me, I'm starting out with some room treatments from artnovion. That's happening no matter what.

I'd also like to upgrade my turntable. Thinking about a 10k limit... Not sure what to do. I don't listen to much vinyl but I have a great cart and phono pre so I should get a turntable that is worthy.

Stretch goal is d'agostino amp, either progression or momentum, but I don't see how it can happen unless some stars align!

None. Going to be enjoying my system now that I'm finally done with it (after a mere 12 years of work and blowing the original budget quite substantially). But in the end all that really matters is that it sounds amazing and does everything that I expect of it. Now its time to enjoy the music via the several hundred CDs in my collection.

After auditioning power cords , I am going to upgrade power cords to NordOst Frey 2 , and also Sort Kones B/C
Not sure i will be able to upgrade to 3 Powercords but start out with 1 Frey 2 and then see if i get at chance for 1 more.

Since I did a significant upgrade to my entire system in 2017, I believe 2018 will bring adding to my LP collection and many hours of aural bliss. An upcoming trip to Italy and replacing my wife's car are the financial priorities in 2018.

I have just bought a Trinnov St2 room correction device .. but cant set it up right now as I had a lower back op and cant use my listening chair in the correct orientation etc as I have to recline or lay flat for the next 4 weeks..cant bend either. Pointless measuring right now..

I will be completing my 12 x 8ft x 20" (diameter) tube traps and replacing most all my other trapping/diffusion/absorption devices with them.

If Devialet manage to get their streaming working , I *might* send my D premiers in to get upgraded to a 1000pro system..

Hopefully, the Accuphase E-270 w/AD-50 I have on order with Ivan will arrive in January. My other upgrades will consist of dipping my foot into digital audio with the additional of a
dedicated laptop, Schiit Bifrost multibit & Asgard 2, and an A2D of some sort (with software) for ripping my CD & LP collections. The LP ripping will lag well behind the CD work.

2018 will bring some light control and acoustic control into the room, along with the ability to play 4K material - probably an OppO 205.

2018 wish list;

- transition the P10 to the Nordost QRT distribution
- update last of cables to Valhalla 2 - look at a MSB or DCS DAC.

At this point in time, I am going to stay away from analog for reasons related to space, and time.

I'm very happy with my system and can't think of a thing I really need or want to do besides that.
