Question Big Chassis Amps / Rack Installation?

Has anyone installed the MC303 and 1.2/1.25KW big chassis amps in a rack? I see Middle Atlantic has 7U and 8U rack shelves available that are 20” deep. And they appear to have custom faceplates for the MC303. I have an email out to them but finding actual pictures of the big chassis Macs in a rack is proving to be harder than I thought.

Thanks!

I have 1.2kw racked - using quadraspire. Hard to find affordable audio racks that hold that kind of weight. Love the racks - Ivan got me over the line on these.

I own (3) 1.25KW's. They generate substantially more heat than did my 1.2's which almost never got hot. While I wouldn't say they were inefficient, I would never put a 1.25KW in a rack. Even at low levels of watts they generate noticeable heat. It's one of the first things I noted regarding the differences between the 1.2's and the 1.25's.

To each his own but I wouldn't rack a pair of those monsters either. Besides the heat issues I would think it would also make any cabling changes all but impossible.

My 303s hardly get warm, even when playing full tilt. Surprised to hear how much hotter the 1.25s are over the 1.2s.

I have my 1.2kw on a pair of HRS amp stands. The modularity of the HRS systems is awesome. The HRS is a forever stand, I hope. I can see no reason I would ever change it. One can easily swap out different struts for different heights, components. The weight of the equipment is a non-issue. The cost, maybe not so much. But there is a reason they are used so frequently at the high end shows. One and done.
