IMHO, the LCD-i4 is the best Audeze headphone.

From my experience with isine 20 for about a year, I wouldn't consider the LCDi4. I'd have to spend a few hours with one to change my mind.
I won't even use the isine 20 anymore. Hopefully they significantly improved the ergonomics, phone app, earpiece inserts, cable construction quality, and reduced the weight. It sounds bad outside on the go with even the lightest breeze with the open back design. They sound good, but the bass quickly disappears with the ear seal, and I couldn't keep the ear seal stable for around an entire block in my neighborhood. (comply foam helped) I'm very biased though. One thing that can not be improved on, is Audeze customer service. Any small problem with the isine 20 was quickly and professionally handled, frankly it's why I kept them instead of returning them. At the $600 I paid for isine 20 they sound really good, but I wouldn't put them in the same league as Campfire Andromeda and Shure se846 for portable sound. At 2-2.5K I might be trying out some custom Jerry Harvey Laylas. |

Does anyone own these here yet?
If my peers tried and love them I'd be willing to waste a bunch of Audeze's time at the next CamJam in my city. I'm seriously into on-the-go listening. And to be fair about my previous post with harsh and honest criticism: I had a cable failure and the replacement cable is significantly lighter. The old cable might have been heavy enough to constantly tug on the ear seal. I haven't given them a serious listen since I bought better earphones. |
