Yes.......... as would a whole bunch of other high-end gear. Even Yamaha's previous series of high-end gear (B-2, B-1, MX-2000, MX-10000 and a few others) before they stepped back in their marketing efforts in the mid-80s.
The NS-5000 is about the same weight as the NS-1000 (78#). Plus, has a great deal more power handling capability. If I had any complaint (very mild) would be the lack of bass with the NS-1000 & NS-1000M speakers.

I have very bad news, I called Yamaha and they told me that they decided to not to sell the ns 5000's in the U.S.A. now!

Ah, well. The $15K range of speakers is very competitive. Trying to sell what is essentially a large (very large) bookshelf speaker to folks who only know Yamaha as a 'mid-fi' company (these days) would be a stretch. Am guessing few Yamaha dealers would be willing to cover the cost of having a pair in their showroom.

Looks like you will have to import them from Japan. Not sure if we have them in Canada since you are saying that Yamaha are skipping the US market.

For many years Luxman was available in Canada while not being brought into the U.S. Maybe you'll luck out.

No the step ahead: accuphase will present the new E-650 with NS-5000 as like as C-2450 and P-7300 at their events

With 30-60wpc amp on a speaker that asks for 200wpc nominal, the E-650 doesn't make that much sense to me. The 125wpc of the P-7300 would seem the better amp for this application. All are beautiful, but the E-650 could well be mismatched. I ran my NS-1000s with a Yamaha B-2 (100wpc, nominal) or MX-2000 (130wpc, nominal) and the NS-1000 used everything the amps could provide.
