Use the bases on the back, but not the front. That will give you some height adjustment for rake. Unfortunately, I do not know how much.

I am looking forward hearing about your findings here. Usually the height of the speakers is sensitive and one of the few measurements the manufacturer can be sure of when the product reaches the end consumer. Please let me know how it all plays out.
I too am interested in what Ivan discovers.

One of the more significant benefits that Paolo Terzon has bought to the latest Homage series SF is addressing vibration. The Amati Futura has elastomer damping between the subframe and the frame attached to the speaker. Ivan's Aida uses a floating bridge, which SF call bow spring. Both these systems link into the cabinet bracing designs, and are not a casual afterthought.

The Stradivari does not use any such systems.

I have been playing with this using Finite Elemente Cerabase slim lines under the Amati Futura. These are the lowest devices I could find at 20mm height. I need to sit the SF cups on top of the Cerabase, as dropping the cones into the Cerabase's opening doesn't work. As Ivan surmised, when the spikes are at an angle other than 90 degrees, there will be problems. I think the top of the Ultra 5 is flat, so a similar approach could be used there.

AmatiCerabaseSL.jpg

The sound changed significantly. As you can see, I had to move the Amati back around 7cm to get the bass balance right. I think this is largely due to raising the speaker by over 25mm / 1", which does impact on how the bass drivers couple with the floor. As you suspected. It was also necessary to change the rake angle of the speaker to get the soundstage right.

The differences just from changing the speaker height were so profound, it is not too easy to determine what effect, if any, there is from vibration coupling using the Cerabases. The Cerabase and the Stillpoints use a similar approach, but the Stillpoints are more advanced, and from what I have read, much better.

But in the case of speakers which have vibration control built into them, I am not so sure this is the right approach for these specific speakers.

Does allvinyl have any input to this? I am likely to move to a pair of Sf speakers in the near future and would like to put them up on Stillpoints if possible.

Default Stillpoints and Speakers with Spikes

From performance and stability aspects, it is best to replace the OEM spikes with our product. We make a variety of adapters to use to connect the Ultra product to the component.

For Maggies, there is a company that makes stands that can use our products readily. I don't have the company name right now but will try to find and post that info.

We are working with SF to create a solution for their speakers with outriggers that also need to maintain a particular rake angle for the baffle. I don't have any particulars to post at this time.

For best performance our Ultra products need to be loaded evenly. If they are tilted the technology pocket will not load evenly and performance will be unpredictable. This presents the dilemma with some SF speakers that must be solved. I'll keep the list updated as I know more.

Thank you John / allvinyl.

Just like to add how impressed I am with the support from various manufacturers, not just Stillpoints, on this forum. And I don't even have any or many of the products. But I might in the future and that is a great thing to know. Thanks guys! And gals, of course...
