Default Alexia Series 2 incoming!

These were just set up at my home.

Some initial impressions

* Like how easily the new white wrapping/tape came off the speakers. Looked much easier to remove than the old clear material Wilson used to use.

* The speakers seem to need more volume on the preamp than the Series 1 - are these less efficient? Luckily I have powerful amplifiers.

* The finish on these seems even better than my previous Wilsons. The level of workmanship is absolutely stunning. I actually gasped when I saw the finish, it exceeds what I see on luxury automobiles even. And these are my fourth Wilsons.

I'm breaking in the speakers for the next few days. For now, left them on casters, then will get them dialed in by my dealer. These really seem like something special.

Sadly I had to run back to work after the setup, so I'll try to listen to a lot of music tonight and give more impressions.

I think JAX is in DC area so it may be a long road trip for the SEA guys. Once everything is broken in I will see what I can arrange. My R should be here by then as well

If the new wrapping is easier than the old wrapping then one would have to be Hercules to get off the old wrapping.

I struggled mightily to get the wrapping off the Yvette's.

I agree on the fit and finish. The Yvette's are my first Wilson speakers and I am very impressed with the extremely high level of the fit and finish.

Congrats on the new Alexia V2. I have had mine for two weeks and they are still on castors as well. Need a lot more time with them....but so far very pleased
