Excellent Jérôme

I'm definitely going to check out the MEN220...maybe the amount of correction in my room was so high that my brain could not cope with this situation

I do know the RP1 can be used as an active crossover...and it is this feature on the MEN220 that really fires the LuFlu within me....active bi-amping with four MC501's

Jerome,
Thank you so much for sharing your findings.

Having read some of the website, this is one item is is really high on my list.

Because I move every few years, and live in rented houses, room treatments has never had a huge appeal to me.

This product sounds really great.

I best you are really enjoying those EB's right now!!!

Enjoy!!!

And, post photos when you can, thanks.

Hi Two dot,

Yes, this thing is a real "must be listened to be believed" thing !
If you can get one to try in your home, you surely won't need a week to see how good it performs.
Acoustic of our room is of prime importance and we usually " bypass" it because room treatments are difficult to make, expensive, have a low waf, and moreover, you never know what you'll get. This item is easy to set up and finally does not cost a fortune when you compare it to a full acoustic treatment of a room; for someone changing homes often, it's a must.
As you said, now, I really get the maximum of the EB1i. I'm sure your TB2 would really benefit from it. No room is free from parasite reflections.
I will post pictures tomorrow. But I can't post the sound and that's too bad, because this would shock everyone here.

Jérôme

This is the Lyngdorf RP 1 :

One more word about the effect of this wonder on my system.
The best improvement is by far on the bass : much more clear, dynamic, deep, tuneful.
Second improvement is on mucher higher clarity : you hear everything more easily
Third improvement is for dynamics, impacts and transients : the music is much more alive.
Overall improvement would be qualified this way : Now, I get the ultimate refinement degrees which were lacking previously from the EB1i. They are now extremely refined, detailed, musical and punchy. Yet, the sound is not aggresive in any way.
Its effect is of the same magnitude as when I went from the C220 to the C1000P reference preamplifier. THIS IS HOW GOOD THE RP-1 IS ON MY SYSTEM.
Jacques, I'm SURE your bad experience with it was :
- a defect of the RP-1
- a defect of the microphone during the calibration process. This microphone does not look very "high end " to me. It could easily be done in China, I would not be surprised
- your room is already near perfect.
Do you remember what amount of correction was applied by the RP1 on your system ?
I will be very interested to hear what you'll get with the MEN220 if you can try it when it will be released. BTW, is there a new McImporter for Benelux ?
If you come to Paris and want a demo of how it works in my room, just give me a call : +33623098536.

Best wishes,

Jérôme[/QUOTE]

JEROME,

Thank you for the photos. Really beautiful!!!!

I could see one of those blending very nicely in my rack.

I like the fact that it is small ans subtle looking. Very Nice!!!

As always, my friend, you have a very beautiful system!!!

Enjoy and keep the reports coming.

Thanks two dot !
Keep us informed of your conclusions if you can try one or a MEN 220.

Cheers,
Jérôme

Jerome

Where do you have the Lyngdorf installed in your system? Between which inputs and outputs?
Jim
