I'm not feeling it. The speaker lines are incongruous to my eyes. Even if the Alexx sounds wonderful, I can't get past it's looks.

Bugatti Blue? Looks more like '56 Chevy Blue to me, but I guess it doesn't have quite the same flair as a Bugatti color. With looks like that the Alexx had better sound amazing.

A couple of thoughts Dan:

1) I'm sure you have seen many pics so your view is based on more than just these. Even so, the angles of the photos in the post above distort completely the shape and scale. Owning Amatis, I know you are very familiar with the difficulties of accurately capturing multiple complex curves.

2) The speakers still have their frisk translucent protective coating on them. You can see the lines from the frisk in the close ups. The color will truly be Bugatti Blue when the frisk is removed. Wilson is to complex automotive paint finishes what Franco Serblin is to natural wood finishes.

3) I know you will find it hard to believe but many of the initial owners have sighted looks as closing the deal for them. That may account for Alexx selling so far ahead of projections.

I've seen them in person, and while not my favorite Wilson design, think they look very good. I have criticized the way the front port looks, but oh well. That's a relatively minor detail, and I suppose necessary for them to sound so good (they do). But when plugged the port should "disappear" better. Perhaps there could be a body color option for the plug that's more integrated looking in the future.

The option is available. Check out your dealer's demo pair Marc.

Not like I can afford them....but I certainly will check it out! I didn't know my dealer had on display. Maybe the Seattle store, I'm typically at the Bellevue store.

Bill.......Perhaps my color comparison was a little exaggerated. . I would also agree that it is quite difficult to photograph some speakers and this may just be the case with these pictures.
