Lately 50 hours a week easily. While doing the 9-5 thing, 50 hours a month for sure. Music is mandatory in our household. My wife hates it when I ask her to select the appropriate tunes for whatever the activity might be, that we are about to do, grocery shopping for example or going out for this or that. Have to get organized with some music.

I work more than full-time, but I manage as much time with my 20-channel as I can.

My wife works most Sundays so I spend the entire day in my listening room, even if it's with a laptop to get some other things done. I play for a couple hours when I get home from work, and usually another 30-60 minutes while my wife takes her shower before bed.

I estimate around 100 hours/month

Wow, the majority of people are more then 20 hours a month, and almost 50% over 50 hours. This place really is full of audio lovers

No, I am most certainly not an audio lover. I am a music lover. I really don't care very much about audio and gear, once it's dialed in for me to enjoy music. I go through the "audiophile" steps only because the end result (enjoying music) is worth the time, effort, and expense. I honestly mean that.

This week I finally completed my system, installing the last remaining bit, after 19 months building it.

I wouldn't spend the kind of money I did on my system if I wasn't going to use it. I like the way it looks but it isn't just for looky looky.

That describes me more accurately.

I went through the audiophile motions of assembling a new system in the late 80s with a partial change in the late 90s, and again in the early 2000s for my home theater system. Once I am settled in on a system I keep it for a while. With my current system, I started small but changed direction and decided to build something much better, but now I consider it done.
