The 1st speakers that I actually purchased which wasn't a gift from parents was actually a home theater set of Technics. The models escape me at the moment but they are all still in use in my parents family room. The center and surrounds came in one box and the towers were boxed individually.

I actually haven't had many speakers over the years, only 3 system upgrades thus far. From the Technics I went to a Paradigm Reference Studio series v2 system (sold all but the subs from that system) then to my current B&W 800 D2 series.

In my first job after college, took my first bonus check and bought a pair of B&W CDM7SE.

In the early 90's...mine were Phase Technology PC80's. Ran them with a Sony receiver.

Advent, don't remember the model. Then, moved up to Bose 301s and thought I had won the lottery.

My first pair of speakers was the Wharfdale Teesdale in I think the late 50's (first edition), it had dispersion cones for mid and tweeter spread.
