Default A pair of 911mk. 3's is a wonderful thing

Just got a 2nd 911 today...

This one's on loan from Burmester, but I think I'm gonna have to find a way to keep it. It looks so good next to the other one!

It's a wonderful amp in stereo, I would imagine a pair monoblocked is even better.

Congrats Jeff . I am sure the mono configuration is going to be killer with better instrument separation and better grip on those bass bins. Let us know what the improvements are when you get to hook up the 2nd 911 mk III. Thx

Jeff I look forward to your review. I got a feeling that baby will be there for good.

Congratulations.

Currently you've the best solid state amps in your hands.

Enjoy your listening pleasure.

I wouldn't go that far Rocco. But I do admire your setup.

Hi, John.

I made a lot of comparison A & B with many power amps (which a lot of these more expensive than the german gears), and the 911's has always the best performance, at least to my ears.
When you use a mono-pair of 911's, for what it is my listening experience, it's really difficult to listen better at any level (tube or solid state). Then if you connect the 911's with B100 or B80, an 808's and 069 the word as "reference" shall be used without any doubt.

The above mentioned, you've to consider as personal evaluations.

Kind regards.

I'm with Rocco. I've only called one piece of gear "the best" in print and it was the 911 mk. 3. I certainly haven't heard an amplifier yet (tube or transistor) that I've liked better. I haven't heard them all, but I HAVE heard quite a few.

And the 911 is still number one in my book. (though I am very intrigued to hear the ARC 610's...) Still keeping an open mind.

Very nice set-up and beautiful amps. I will be comparing/contrasting these with the new Hegel H30's in the future.
