Hi everyone. My room is 16 ft long x 10 ft wide x 8 ft high. My dream speakers are the 802 Diamonds. But I am worried that my room is to small. Should I get 804 Diamonds or 803 Diamonds instead? Thanks in advance.

I have essentially the same room and had the same concern about 9 months ago. Went with the 802s and have never, not once, thought they were too much for the room. Ymmv, but I love them in that size room.

If you can afford it, definitely get the 802's. The 804 diamonds are a good speaker, but there is just no comparison, my friend. I've had both.

Thanks guys. Money isn't my issue though. Just the room size. But I have a little more faith now. Also, I know if I don't get the 802's I'll always wonder what could have been haha.

I heard the 802Ds in a room, comparable to yours.
Absolutely not overpowering.
If you have the dough, just go for it.
If not, the upgrade virus will affect you soon...

I have older 802s and have used them in smaller room than you describe without issues.

Get the 802's

Have a room that is 15 X 13 with 8 foot ceiling. Started with 805's, then 804's with G2 sub, and now the 802's.

Same concerns as you, is the room too small? Short answer, no.
Get the 802's. You will not regret it.

Your room size isn't an issue, go for the 802's. I have a pair of 800's, a pair of 802's plus the HTM2 in a room just a bit larger than that.

I had 803d's in a dedicated room about 18' x 13' x 8' and thought they were a little overpowering. They sounded good but I put them in a non dedicated room that was 22' x 15' x 17' and thought the extra volume of space made them sound even better. Don't know if you have a larger room. I would have been happy in the smaller room if I didn't try the larger room. I do like the looks and sound of the 802D's.

BWlover,

Please see my signature. I have my 802D's in a 16' X 11' X 8' room.
The 802D's sounded excellent when I built the room 7 years ago.

Better equipment and acoustic room treatments have them sounding awesome.

Do a search on my previous posts, I have recent pictures.

Hope this helps.
