I personally think they are the best looking SF bookshelf : simplicity and fluidity

Would be interesting to hear your take on the difference between the I's and the S1.

I think they look fantastic! They sound great, too. But I found that I preferred the 805 Diamonds. For some reason, the B&Ws were better able to convey emotion (which used to be a Sonus Faber hallmark).

I just sold 805 Diamond and bought Olympica II. I found SF more balanced and less midrange. But I put much more money and got medium gain (except for little more bass and a 3 way looks). 805 Diamond are a special speaker for me.. (Had for almost 5 years).

I also moved from B&W to SF , series 600 to Olympica II. I am so happy!!, SF sounds great!!! The sound is deep and three dimensional now. |

Can someone help me get started with crossover points on Olympica I?
I use a pair of these and dual PSA s1500 in a stereo 2.2 system. Just bought a preamp (Parasound Halo p5) that does active crossovers for both subs and mains. What is the recommended crossover settings on Olympica I? I know they can go as low as 50 Hz, but they typically roll over higher than that. Anyone has a graph? Thanks! |
