Well the car was severely under-steering. I guess this only shows that a lot of power and a truly great driver can post a fast time. A brutish drive for sure. And i hope he got paid well because he put that car and himself in harms way to post that time.

Congrats to the driver - the car not so much.

Definitely a hand full but it doesn't look much different from other fast laps in sedans. The Guilia video I saw was scary but very fast as well.

That's what it looks like when you drive a car at 10/10ths. If it didn't look like that there'd still be something left.

Best quote in the comments section: "Wonder if the driver has back problems from how huge his balls are."

The car is a feat and the driver was excellent.

It's the people who drive motorcycles like that who *really* impress me.

Quite the ride. Amazing difference in the previous Camaro with the 10-spd automatic and this one with the stick (8-spd?). The automatic seemed absolutely serene by comparison.
Couldn't agree more about the driver. Wish they would tell us more about him/her. Was a very busy person, as is every driver I've seem running at 10/10ths around the 'Ring with a stick shift.
This was the 14th fastest time at the ring. The other few faster times I looked at all had either an automatic or electronic shifting of some sort so the driver was not nearly as busy with the shifter/clutch, which makes this run an even greater feat. Makes me wonder if there were any differences between this Camaro and the one with the 10-spd automatic (tuned a 7:21, if IIRC) other than the transmission. If not, put this driver in the 10-spd auto to compare.
And, a special thanks to all our arm-chair professional drivers for their take on that lousy car. 14th fastest ain't s**t, I guess.

True Glenn, I suspect there is a certain faction that can't bear the thought of something wearing a 'bowtie' performing at that level !

On a side note my youngest son just took delivery last month of this cars little brother (SS 1LE), in a word ..... WOW ! At under 50k I doubt here is much out there to compare to the performance. That LT1 motor is sweet, as all the new C7 owners will attest to !
