The DSD 128 files i have heard are much better sounding then any other format including 24-96 pcm or MQA. I look forward hopefully some day to future releases of hi res. DSD versions of master tape Beatles catalog hopefully.

Too late. The record companies and audio manufacturers are selling the future of high res audio to MQA/Meridian.

Interesting price comparisons for different versions of Live recordings of a Bruce Springsteen concert. These are the listed prices for the ~3 hours of music of the Aukland NZ concert from 25-Feb-17.

MP3 $9.95
Lossless. $12.95
CD $23
Hi Rez. $19.95
MQA. $19.95
DSD. $39.95.

I was a bit surprised by these statement from the Pied Piper of Vinyl (aka Michael Fremer) in his renew of the Brinkmann Audio Nyquist D?A Processor in Stereophile's August issue.

"Those who claim they can't hear the difference between CD resolution files and high Rez MQA files either haven't bothered to listen , or don't want to admit their claims of "CD sound is perfect" mare just plain wrong."

and "hearing (MQA) files streamed through the Nyquist via Tidal was and ear opener. Had this been CD sound in 1983, I'd still be a LP guy-but I'd also be all in with digital. "
