Let's keep it friendly, guys.
Personally, I auditioned both speakers, and I WANTED to buy the Sasha, but it just didn't grab me. My dealer said I was pretty much the only person he'd seen who wasn't taken by the Sasha... I respect that Sasha does it for you, Bill, but I'm not a big planar guy, so our difference in taste wouldn't, necessarily, surprise me. Back to the point of the thread, I'd say that your opinion offers a matter of perspective as to how you hear the differences, and, hopefully, that's of some value to dcvibe if/when he chooses to audition.

I'd rather have some cars in common with you, but I guess this will have to do...

I agree with BlueChiaro... lets keep it friendly. I appreciate all opinions. Looks like I'm going to have to track over to a dealer and do an a/b comparison on the speakers. The closest dealer to me is 3 hours away. They are very nice and might be willing to do an in home audition...
Thanks for all the feedback thus far.... |

It's nice to hear that people are making decisions based on what they hear. I hope I end up liking sophia III more than sasha's also. After responses here I guess that is not so farfetched of a possibility? Thanks....

Pls also do not forget, that working on a given budget, what you save on getting the Sophias, you may spend on a better source components or amps.
So a fair comparo would be Sophias with BETTER electronics vs Sasha with sth cheaper (eg. $16k Sohia with $24k electronics vs $27k Sasha with $13k electronics where budget = $40k), not vice versa. As a Sasha owner, I have to admit that getting Sophias instead of Sasha in many systems makes a lot of sense |
