Default Anyone heard the Sasha playing at 105 dB ?

Anyone heard the Sasha playing at 105 dB ?

I just did. My Radio Shack SPL Meter peaked at 105 dB at the listening chair (10 feet from the speakrs) ! I have played AC/DC The Edge album which I haven't listened to in some years.

It is awesome, freaking AWESOME ! MUCH better than on the AC/DC concert I attended last summer - and I was like 10m from the stage. The problem is that you cannot listen that loud for longer than one track, since after that you are already partially deaf and keep hearing The Bell in your ears long after music is gone, LOL.

I would probably be dangerous for the tweeters as well.

Nevertheless Sashas ROCK !

Now back to my daily rutine - barok music and opera ...

Beautiful system and set-up.

I think it will sound good with any music genre you select.

That is a very nice looking set up you have there. I love that finish on the sasha's.

Really nice setup. You must be more careful with your ears though :P

Any special reason you keep the grill on the bass part of the speaker?

My 2-year old son. Have to protect the dust caps from his praying lil hands. I take the upper grilles off only for listening.

Yeah it was. It is like flooring your new bought car on German autobahn. Prolly not safe on daily basis, but you can do it once or twice just to see how fast it will go.

Hard to say, since I do have any other preamp on hand to compare it to. But obviously, Kondo magic is there.

It is on loan from a friend. It is $120.000 in retail or thereabouts. Out of my price range, unfortunately.

Got it. Any thoughts what you will be using as your reference preamp?
