Thank You !

I grow moore fond of the Sophias as time goes by.It is honest speakers that still can sound beautiful.

I found them relativly easy to tune in,they tell if the placement is wrong.

I must try different interconnects soon, that should be fun after noticing how much better it got with the vallhalla.I am thinking of trying out either Copper or tungsten from the new element series from Synergistic as I mentioned before.

The Valhalla is a fine but rather expensive interconnect.I hope I get simular effect with Synergistics.

Default Spikes, oh my...

I've had my Sophias for about 3 months and, like New Order, I grow fonder and fonder of them over time.

The dealer came out and spiked them yesterday and what a difference it makes in coherence, detail, bass, etc. Like focusing the proverbial lens.

I had no idea what a difference getting them spiked would make. Yea, they look better too.

Congrats, its a nice surprise when you see a major improvement where you didn't necessarily expect it.

After thinking of upgrading the interconnects I finally came to a decision.Bought these and got them during the week.

Synergistic Research Element Copper

I have used a interconnect from the older line until now,a Looking Glass ph2.I suspected that the new line would be better. But I didn´t expect them to be as good as they where.

These cables where totally superior than the older ones. And the improvement wasn´t subtle. It was huge. The noise floor dropped and the soundstage got bigger and wider.Instruments came to life and was moore authentic. It was like an layer where peeled of.I must say that I am almoust stunned of the improvement.

It was funny to see that the Sophias responded so well to this upgrade. They really award better peripheral upgrades. The performance of the system took a giant leap forward.

I must believe what I heard but it is very strange that a interconnect can do this mutch difference Strange but really, really fun to!

new order, congratulations from a fellow Sophia 3 owner. Your room looks beautiful, and the speakers are perfect in there. Is that the MOON Supernova and i-7 integrated driving them? If so, that was my combo when I got mine.

Well,thank You!

It is a Moon I-7/Supernova combo as You noticed.I am very pleased with the Moons.Easy to live with on a day to day basis and nothing stupid in the handling that can drive one crazy. They just work and sounds fine!

@chessman
Don´t You agree that it is strange that a interconnect can do that difference?I have had this hobby for a long time, but it is always exciting to be positivly surprised.

I am now glad that I also ordered this at the same time as the interconnects!

But I must try to turn down the expectations. Can´t hardly expect that they make the same difference as the interconnects did.But I can hope that they do.

Going to take it slow and listening as it is for a while before changing the speaker cables to.This can be really fun!

Hi Everyone

Have during the day tested the new speaker cables.

Synergistic Research Element Copper

During the week I have listened with the new interconnect. And It is really good. The noice floor dropped dramatically and details appeared in a natural way.

The old Synergistic Research resolution Reference fx

Smaller and moore discrete!Me like

After changing to the new speaker cable I parked myself in sweetspot. After 5 hours there I can inform that the Element Copper speaker cables also was good!I find it harder to hear difference between speaker cables than in interconnects and power cables. But it was a difference and to the advantage of the new cable. The noice floor was low with the interconnect as I have told You.It dropped! Now the background is completly black.the bass handling got more controlled and nuanced. It is like the new cables doesn´t add anything, the sound is just natural and crystal clear. The resolution fx was moore harsh and analytical. And the bass was moore boomy.
I must say that the new generation from S.R totally crushes the older one.It is really fun to test but I must admit that the urge for power cables in the same series is getting worse....

new order, congrats! You may as well order the power cords - you know you will eventually.
