Harmonix 909mk2 with magicos
Hi guys
Just wondering what's your thoughts of magico S1 on the harmonix 909 mk2 instead of the ones supplied by my dealer... The harmonix 909 mk2 was leftover from my previous speakers and my dealer seems to discourage the use consistent with the "official stand" Cheers |

Certainly couldn't hurt to try them.
I know the official line on this, and I followed it for a long time. But then I needed to do some position tweaking with my S5s so I put some of the Sound Anchor Cone Coasters under them (since they slide easily without damaging the wood floor). I was expecting the to sound worse than the stockers but they sounded *much* better. After some time I briefly switched back to the stock footers... the Cone Coasters were clearly better and they're still there now. I wouldn't hesitate to experiment with others if/when the mood strikes me. |

Wooden footer or spike base will tend to thicken the sound. Different footers will certainly change the sound. Depending what direction you want the sound to change.
I use Stillpoints footer under my Magico speakers, it is something that is actually discouraged by the factory, but it gives a "much" better sound. You shall try, listening is believing. |
