Thank you for a good sense of reality. I really don't need more power. The ARC has more power than the FW, but the FW is so sweet sounding.

Glad to be of service. If you buy new in the current market and try to sell you are probably not going to like the going prices on the used market unless you happen to buy a rare piece that doesn't turn over. If you want to try new gear on a regular basis then you have to be at least the second owner. If you buy from reputable sellers on the forums you frequent or high feedback buyers on the major selling arenas you will be safe either buying or selling. The place you can get burned is Ebay. I have been buying and selling used on the audio forums for almost 20 years and haven't got burned yet. Gears flipping audiophiles like the source of your ARC are always a safe bet.

Agreed... I am closing in on the point of satisfaction, for the long haul ... and I know that is probably ludicrous to say...

Pure Class A does get hot, no doubt. But I like the sound, soooo... well it does not bother me ....
