Hi Jax,
Congratulations for your dCS ensemble!
I'm sorry I'm asking you something off-topic about your Apple device (airport capsule router). I own one of those as well and I'd like to know if you are using it also for music (storage and other) or was there only by chance.
Thank you!
Roberto

No, it's just a switch for my dCS Upsampler, MacBook, and Qnap NAS. I run a wireless bridge too the other Airport upstairs. Mainly use the connection to download album art. All music streaming is wired - USB or Ethernet.

I just got my Vivaldi Upsampler upgraded to the Plus 2.0 version. Very audible improvement for network and upsampled CD playback.

I also got the transport updated to v2.0 and DAC to v2.01 from v2.00.

I just got my Vivaldi Upsampler back from it's upgrade yesterday. It's NICE.

Listening to Gerry Mulligan, "What is there to say" Redbook, F5 off the VUP 2xDSD output to the DAC at DSD F5 right now.

It really remarkable how its presenting the cymbals and the brushes. More resolution, more realistic images (more 3d like and instruments separated better), seemingly able to feel the movement of the brush strokes in a way not ever noticed before (I have this in Redbook and 45 RPM vinyl). But at the same time warm, relaxed, it's less aggressive but more energy. Nice trick dCS has pulled off...

It's impressive dCS provides these upgrades to Vivaldi owners. Talk about building brand/dealer loyalty !!!

Yes, it really is impressive how much the Upsampler enhances redbook CD playback, especially the upgraded 2.0 version. I also like the Filter 5, DSDx2 setting.

It is great that dCS offers the hardware/software upgrades indeed.

For all Vivaldi owners

There is a network board firmware update to v350 available via the app or web browser. From what I hear...The new network firmware has a pile of small-ish bug fixes, improves Roon endpoint cohabitation with our dCS UPnP endpoint code, and improves functionality and stability of use with App... no MQA or other "big stuff" quite yet, but a few owners have reported better sound than the previous SDK version.

Also there is a DAC upgrade to V2.02 which from the website

The locking time has been reduced.

This update adds compatibility with newer hardware.

Minor bugs affecting the 0.2V Output Level setting and the Display On/Off feature have been fixed.

This requires an AIFF file that I think dealers can provide. I updated both today and will listen over the weekend
