Knew it was coming out and never even saw it in the theaters I frequent and was thrilled to see it on iTunes at home. What a story.

Not sure of the accuracy but I heard an indepth interview with Cheadle and he said they worked closely with the Davis family and friends to make it as accurate as possible but that of course some things were modified to make the film entertaining. But yes, he was absolutely portrayed as a thug, but seemed to be more ego driven than anything else. Even the countless times he seemed to pull guns on people and fire them astonished me. No idea if those were accurate or not. Amazing he stayed out of jail.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, but there were definitely some fictional elements, such as the stolen tape caper. This article sorts out truth/fiction. LOTS OF SPOILERS, SO DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE!
