I'm using the K-01x with a Ref 6 and GS150 and it's a great combination. In addition to being an awesome SACD/CD player the DAC is outstanding. As much as I love ARC when it comes to digital it's best to look elsewhere. I chose Esoteric over DCS because SACD and transport reliablity is extremely important to me.

If I were able to afford an Esoteric K01x or a KO3x I would not let the fact that silver is the only option deter me from buying one. After all you don't listen to the color

Back on topic. I've never heard the ARC cd9 or the Esoteric KO1x/03x, but I would have to choose Esoteric(and I'm a huge ARC fan).
