Default Media Server options with ARC USB DAC

I am interested in finding a media server to pass digital music via USB to my ARC DAC (CD9/DAC). To use the ARC USB DAC you need to use USB drivers for a Windows or Mac that ARC provides on a disc. Now many turn-key media servers are based on a Linux platform (e.g., Aurender) which as a result are incompatible with an ARC USB DAC. Has anyone found a nice turn key media server they are using with an ARC USB DAC?
Adam

Good timely question. I'm interested in a cd9 but planned on using a Linux based server. I wouldn't have known about this incompatibility. I'm interested in the replies. Pete

Why not a purpose built Win 7 PC? If you already have your library or want to keep ripping media, it seems to be the solution. Can be as simple or as complex as you want it.

The new CAPS v4 server is just around the corner:

Computer Audiophile - Computer Audiophile Pocket Server C.A.P.S. v4 Introduction

As with previous CAPS designs, you will probably be able to get one ready built from Small Green Computer.

The Aria unit is pretty pricey. I have never heard it so I can't compare it to anything else. For $1000 you can build a pretty high-end Music PC.

I certainly do agree with you but the impression I got from the OP is that he wants a completely packaged system/software in a box.

Hmmm...Expected to see -E- on this thread. I'm still interested in going with the Silenzio.
