Default Audio Research CD8 Warm Up Time

While I my Audio Research Ref 5SE preamp seems to fully warm up in about an hour or so, I have noticed that my CD8 player seems to sound its best after about ten or so hours of warm up. After that period of time that player sounds incredibly liquid and analog like!

It seems to take about 15min to stabilize the sound but something still happens as at about 3 hours on sound has reached full sweetness.

Funny, I noticed with my Ref 5se, same thing. Even when warmed for about an hour ( my default... To go to dinner), it takes about fifteen minutes of playing music for it to achieve "magic" mode. The soundstage seems to widen an each individual sound takes on a greater solidity in space... Maybe the details reveal details. Really interesting that many folks noticed.

I'd like to take a poll, of all of you that have heard this, are there any of you that have tried different high end cables and not heard the difference among them?????

There is a clear difference in cables (high end or low end) on a high end system. I found the differences in cable sound to be minimized on a less revealing (usually less expensive) system. The differences can range from slight to holy____.

My feeling is anyone that hears the warm-up phenomenon, cannot possibly have missed the difference in cables. Same deal for me, varies between a slight difference and religious experience. At the urging of my dealer (formally a heroin dealer... gone straight and pushing high end audio equipment instead) I put a set of Nirvana S-X on my Sonic Frontiers CD Player about 15 years ago, and literally my jaw dropped, I had hear about this but the first time I experienced one that made it sound like somebody carted away my old CD player and replaced it one that costed twice as much. I had plenty of positive experiencing upgraded sound with better cables before that... but that was incredible.
