I just got caught up on the post. Did you provide a review of the Avenger/Etna combo?

Ok, just curious. I just setup my Etna onto my VPI Classic 1 and maybe have less 10 hours on it. Damn it’s annoying bright. Just curious what I could do to tone it down a bit.

Check the VTA, if the arm is set too high that could cause excessive brightness.

If you change the arm's height you should recheck the overhang and VTF.

Time to upgrade TT and cartridge

Ooh rah, that was it. Wow, VTA was way off. Lowered it, checked VTF and overhang and got it. Previously, I could hardly tolerated it. I thought it was due to not being broken in. In the end, it’s due to not being set up properly. Still very new at this. Thank you |

Exceptional system you have, I'm quite envious of the Ktemas! Glad I could help you with your setup issue and that it was so easily resolved. Enjoy the tunes in the best of health!
