New to this forum. I love the 800's. Am currently debating the 802 vs 800 as well. i also want to complement my setup with the new rel 25 woofers, i've heard the difference they make and it is astounding!

Stop it with your "rosewood".

1. Black Gloss
2. Satin White
....
....
....
100. Rosewood

Well fudge me, I guess you live up to your name - audioEXTREME!

I would get the 800D3 without question. The difference isn't just the bass, it's the lower midrange.

And then dual No 25.

I am thinking end of May. I was thinking it was to arrive on my birthday, May 23, but it does not look like it will happen that day.

In my experience, the difference between the 800D3 and 802D3 comes down to the size and shape of your room and how well it can handle the bass of the 800D3. The bass of the 800 can easily overpower a mid-sized room that otherwise works perfectly for the 802 as I found when I tried them in my house (and a number of reviewers found as well). The best option is to try a home audition. The best speakers are the ones that sound best in your room and for the choice between these two, it's all about the bass and its integration.

There is only one colour, Black Gloss.

I think a white gloss could be pretty nice too. Or maybe if it were more pearl
than stark white.

Perhaps with a black gloss head.
