I enjoyed all of her other albums save for "The Absence".
And the Absence is my favorite! Does that mean my Audiophile card is now revoked?

Nope. It’s my favorite too!

Default New Melody Gardot album coming

Really a bad album to me.
Puts me to sleep like Jim, that may be its main utility in my home.
Looks like she is trying to imitate Patricia Barber but she fails. And her musicians fail too. Nice ass though but cannot listen to it !

Jerome.......I agree with you, not an album I will listen to again. I was falling asleep by track four. It is a rather boring album, except for the cover. I much prefer her style in the album Worrisome Heart. I anticipated the release of her newest album. It is a shame to be such a disappointment.

Not at all. My taste in music leans away from typical audiophile favorites.

That picture is from the ‘The Absence’ album photo shoot.

Actually really like this album. Agree that it is mellow, and I didn’t appreciate it on first listen. But after a few times, the musicianship comes through. Terrific talent. I wish more female singers were like this and didn’t feel the need to belt it all the time.
