Default PUREPOWER 2000 Explosion!
Well this is very annoying.

I come home and notice my PurePower2000 is not on. Check the plugs etc everything seems okay. Switch off the gear connected to it (preamp, tt, cdp, sooloos). Hit the power switch to turn it on and

POW!

something literally explodes inside it dislodging something. You can feel and hear the item crash around inside the chassis. Followed by white smoke

Getting picked up today by the dealer but my confidence is severely dented.

I dread to think what could have happened if everything was still on. Boom, there goes 5557 cds. Time to do another back up!

Howie.......I hope your dealer will stand behind your purchase and provide you with a new unit. There is no way I would accept that unit back.

I have been considering this unit for a few weeks -------I certainly will want to know the outcome and what the final evaluation is.

A great company will send you a new unit almost overnight and then contact you when the problem is solved. Let us hope this problem is unique to only one specific unit. Mr. Janzen should also take the opportunity to post on this site to show the company really cares.
